The Good, The Bad, The Ugly...Part 2

After the shock wore off I did feel God sustaining me, just the simple fact I was still breathing was proof enough of that! but a verse kept running through my head as I was neck deep in the Okanagan Lake, Ephesians 3:16-21(this is the "good" part) "I ask the Father in His great glory to give you the power to be strong inwardly through His Spirit. I pray that Christ will live in your hearts by faith and that your life will be strong in love and be built on love. And I pray that you and all God's Holy people will have the power to understand the greatness of Christ's love - how wide and how long and how high and how deep that love is. Christ's love is greater than anyone can ever know, but I pray that you will be able to know that love. Then you can be filled with the fulness of God. With God's power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine"! This verse and the support and prayers of others sustained me for a little over a month, then the bottom fell out of my world. I was told it was grief, what I know is, it was very dark, very deep, very angry and very ugly. I felt totally and utterly alone. I could not funtion at all. I wanted to die. The God I thought had abandoned me, had not, the people I pushed away still prayed, people became the hands and feet of God. God, well He patiently waited...and I came back home...with a new perspective and a thankful heart. Thanks to all of you who have been so patient as I have wallowed around in the muck! To my parents and Dave's who have truly been there and always will be there through "the good, the bad and the ugly". Thanks to my children who through their own pain are working their way through forgiveness...and to my husband who had already given it before I asked. And continues to do so everyday...I am blessed.

BE STILL AND KNOW was posted in the hospital while I was in there recently. I was challenged not to try and figure it out. Just be still and relax in what I know about God.

Shhhhhh!! Be Still.
It’s hard to slow the pounding heart down at midnight in anticipation of the busy day tomorrow.
How long can you continue at this pace? The future seems bleak; the obstacles far out number the opportunities. The threats are many and the fears are great. The mind is racing with dead-end scenarios and waves of sickening feelings sweep over you. You are swamped.
Yes, swamped….until you open your Bible and read Psalm 46. True, it pertains to Jerusalem in the past and to the nation of Israel in the future when it’s surrounded and threatened by its enemies, but what God can do for an entire nation He is able to do for you – one Christian. If He has enough resources to save and protect a nation and conquer victoriously, then why should you, just one believer ever despair?
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.
Be still, and know that I am God:”
(Psalm 46:1-3,10)

Be still. Relax your tense shoulders. Stop trying to figure it out. No more fretting. Fold your hands. Calm down. Be still. Take ten deep breaths. Stop racing your mind through the hoops. Shhhh….quieten down. God says: “Let be – be still. Watch Me. Keep your eyes on Me. You will know that I am still on the Throne! I am God. Leave it with me.”
The hardest thing to do when you are in a panic is to ‘stop’. It’s hard to just be still. But until we stop and get alone in His presence and pour out our hearts to Him and allow His Words to direct our minds and comfort our hearts and reassure our spirits, we’ll be in turmoil and anxiety.

Walk carefully and closely with the Lord today.

Warmly in Christ

"...Then you can be filled with the fulness of God. With God's power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine"! (scripture you quoted)
What is the fullness of God or His power working in us? I believe it is the Spirit in us, which is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. The same Spirit that healed the sick and set the captives free! I Believe in that Spirit. I believe He wants to do More than most of us have asked or thought or expected He would or could do. It is the truth we know that sets us free. I'm believing that God is going to do exceedingly abundantly in your lives. Believe, expect, receive! Jesus is still alive in us today!
Yesterday, today & forever the same! Love you guys,
praying often,
